Poverty is the main cause of hunger in the world. This is true in rich and poor countries alike. It is true no matter whether people live in urban or rural areas. Most people who are hungry are living in extreme poverty, defined as income of $1.25 per day or less.

Ideology plays a major role in shaping an individual response to what is happening. Ideology covers every aspect of life in  political, social and economic spheres in the Muslim world. The well-established and accepted  belief to be a true Muslim is that Islam is the only true religion from God and it is superior to all.

There is a lack of objective understanding of the delicacies  and inter-state relations in the Muslim world. The main reason behind is the political and religious elites who blame the USA and the Western world for all the problems they created due to their corruption, ineptitude and mismanagement.

In this way, they absolves themselves of any wrongdoings and intoxicate young minds with hatred and prejudice. This hatred and prejudice eliminates seeds of objective thinking and instead create  a narrow and tunnel vision.

Iraq’s presidential elections of 2010 were a turning point in Iraq’s post-Saddam history. Since the elections, Maliki has been systematically eliminating his political rivals, mostly Sunnis or secular Shiites.

The Maliki government further added fuel to the fire with its continued marginalization of Sunnis and growing role of Iran in Iraqi affairs.
